Komakazuke is a deliciously spicy pickle made with finely chopped seven kinds of vegetables (cucumber, daikon radish, ginger, green chili pepper, shiso, eggplant, and pickled mustard greens) in a soy sauce base.
If you add this as a topping to your ramen and rice set, you can recreate the exact same set as in the restaurant! You can enjoy AFURI at home in a more authentic way.
Of course, you can eat it as it is, but it also goes well with rice balls, hand-rolled sushi, fried rice, ochazuke, mixed rice, etc. Also, if you mix it with natto, it makes a great snack or side dish to go with alcohol.
