We visited a pottery factory in Gifu Prefecture, the birthplace of Mino ware
Gifu Prefecture is the largest producer of ceramics in Japan, and Mino ware is mainly produced in three cities (Tajimi, Toki, and Mizunami) in the Tono region located in the eastern part of Gifu Prefecture. All AFURI pottery is manufactured here and shipped to the store. At the pottery factory, there are a variety of pottery of different sizes lined up, and it was very refreshing to see them before they are fired.
