Introducing AFURI's "mail-order" products, created during the COVID-19 pandemic

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all stores were closed from early April to July, but we started selling frozen meal kits online. At first, we were keenly aware of the difficulty of creating kits that were designed for home use, where cooking environments and eating styles vary, compared to products that were designed to be cooked and served by experienced staff in well-equipped stores.

However, we have been thoroughly thinking about everything from preparing the noodles and soup to packaging and choosing the packaging materials, with the main premise that our customers will be happy with the "same taste as in the restaurant." It has been about eight months since we started selling our products, and we are making improvements every day, taking into account the feedback we receive from our customers.

The hot pot series using ramen soup is very popular.

Customers who have visited our stores have often said things like, "I want to take home just the yuzu salt soup," or "I want to use this to eat rice porridge or hot pot." The AFURI hot pot series was created in response to these requests. In addition to the classic yuzu salt flavor, we also offer yuzu soy sauce and spicy red (hot and sour) flavors. It contains special chicken meatballs made from fresh ground chicken and cartilage. Ramen is also included, so you can prepare your favorite ingredients, enjoy your hot pot as you like, and then enjoy your own original ramen with the even more delicious broth from the hot pot.

In addition, the "AFURI Hot Pot Kit for Camping," which has been repackaged to make it easier to enjoy while camping or glamping, has also been very popular. Many campers are enjoying this special hot pot at camp.
