Super spicy! Spicy Red Ramen 28th Street
The spiciest ramen in AFURI history has been born!!
The name of the restaurant is "Spicy Red Ramen 28th Street ~Chihayaburu Oikazuchi no Kami~".
This is a product from AFURI Karako, located in Shinjuku Subnade, with the concept of "Tasty, spicy and sour." Until now, this product has had nine levels of spiciness to choose from, from 0-chome to 8-chome, but this one boasts an ultra-spiciness that far exceeds that.
The spiciness of AFURI Shinko is measured in units of "chome." This comes from the idea that increasing the spiciness is like climbing Mt. Afuri (Mt. Oyama, at the eastern end of the Tanzawa Mountains).
I thought that the hardest challenge so far would be reaching the summit at 8th Street!! But then, suddenly, 28th Street appeared.
The reason why it is called the odd number 28th block is because the summit of Mt. Afurisan is 28 blocks away, counting from the lower shrine halfway up the mountain .
There's no doubt that this is an extremely spicily ramen, far spicier than 8th Street, but of course it's not just spicy.
The clean flavor of the chicken soup, the refreshing aroma and sourness of yuzu, the spiciness of Japanese pepper and ginger, and the complex and deep spiciness created by blending a variety of chili peppers all combine to create a unique flavor that you won't find anywhere else.
For all of you who love spicy food, please give it a try.
(I know I'm being repetitive, but it's really, really spicy, so only try it if you're confident!)
